At Broom Barns, we believe that children really enjoy learning to speak another language and that the earlier a child is exposed to a foreign language, the faster the language in question is acquired as children tend to be less self-conscious about speaking aloud at this stage of their development.
Our Key Stage 2 pupils have weekly French lessons. Within the lessons, children will use a range of strategies to enable in-depth language learning such as speaking, listening, reading and writing.
We want children to enjoy exploring other countries, cultures and languages. We believe learning a Modern Foreign Language well allows children to realise career goals as a teacher, translator, a person in a role within travel or hospitality and even international organisations.
Take a look at the fun activities in the ‘Related Websites’ section, to support your French learning.
