School Meals

Food Ordering;

Please ensure you pre–ordered you child/rens school meals via the school grid website. Pre-orders can be made daily – before 9am, weekly, monthly or even half termly.

  • If you have forgotten to book a meal you can call the school office before 9:30 on the day and order over the phone. (Please do not ring the kitchen directly, this is for deliveries/orders).
  • If you did not order a meal for your child, the kitchen will provide a lunch for them. This will usually be a Jacket Potato. You will be sent an app message if this is the case.
  • If you have booked a meal for you child but they have bought a packed lunch to school they will be given the school meal and will bring the packed lunch home.
  • If your child is ill, please cancel their school meal.
  • If your child leaves the school and you have credit on your account, please contact Dolce customer care on 01942 707709 or to request a refund. Once they have verified your bank details with you they will process the refund.

Children in Reception to Year 2 are all entitled to a free school meal, with the cost of living increasing why not book them a meal at school and reduce your shopping bill!

From time to time Dolce, the school meal providers, will change the menu and cancel all previously booked meals. We will send out an app message to ask you to re-book.

Nut-free School

We have a number of children and adults in school who have a severe allergy to nuts.  In order to reduce the risk to those children and adults who may suffer an anaphylactic reaction if exposed to nuts we aim to be a nut-free school.  Although we recognise that this cannot be 100% guaranteed, we ask all children, parents and staff not to bring nuts or products containing nuts onto the school site on any occasion, including when donating food for fetes and coffee mornings.

When preparing your child’s packed lunch please ensure that you do not include any products containing nuts.  This includes peanut butter, chocolate spread, cereal bars with nuts and nut flavoured yoghurts.

Free School Meals

Families on Income Support may be eligible for free meals.  The school is NOT able to allow free meals to be taken without authorisation from the Education Office, so it is important to make applications prior to the start of the new school year.

Quote from the website;  ‘If your child is eligible for free school meals, they’ll remain eligible until March 2025, or until they finish their current phase of schooling (primary or secondary), if that’s after the end of March 2025.’

Apply today, it takes 5 mins and in most cases we can tell you straightaway if your child can get free meals at school.  Application forms are available at:
