Take a Tour

We are very much looking forward to welcoming prospective parents and carers to come and see our school.  We will be holding visits for children born between 1/09/2020 and 31/08/2021 in preparation for starting Reception in September 2025.  The application period is from 1st September 2024 – 15th January 2025.

Visits will be hosted by Mrs Hogan, our Early Years Leader. They take place during the school day to ensure visitors get a full picture of the school in action.  Visits last approximately 30 minutes, include a tour of the school and an opportunity to ask questions. We ask visitors to keep to a maximum of two adults per family to ensure that we can accommodate all of the parents wanting to visit.  Our tour dates are detailed below:

Tuesday 1st October at 9.30am

Thursday 10th October at 2.00pm

Thursday 7th November 2024 at 10am

Tuesday 19th November 2024 at 2.00pm

Friday 10th January 2025 at 10am

Please contact the school office on 01438354913 or email admin@broombarns.herts.sch.uk if you would like to join one of our tours.

In-Year Admissions

If you have moved, you can apply to change school during the school year, this is called “in-year admission”.

For In-Year admissions arrangements please see www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/schools

Joining

Moving to a new school is a major decision that you may choose to make for a variety of reasons. It is important that you discuss it with your child’s current school and visit potential new schools before finalising decisions. All applications are now handled via your child’s home Local Authority (please use the link below).  Please make an appointment to view the school before making an application.

If you are looking for a Nursery place halfway through the year, you should contact the school office, as these are the only in-year admissions that are handled directly by the school.

Leaving

Moving schools is always a difficult and emotional decision. It is important that discussions take place with your current school and we look forward to meeting you.

For In-Year admissions arrangements please see www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/schools
